Setting Up Downloadable Products on The Advanced Shopping Cart
Step 1: Log In to Your Account
Open your web browser
Go to the website where you manage your store ( https://ecommerce.buildyoursite.com/).
Log in with your username and password. (This will require that you have an e-commerce plan or a Business Max Plan)
Step 2: Access Your Product Catalog
Find the menu on the left side of the screen.
Click on “Catalog” – it might look like a little shopping cart icon.
Step 3: Add a New Product
Click on the “Add New Product” button – it’s usually a big, colorful button.
A new page will open up where you can fill in details about your product.
Step 4: Enter Product Details
Product Name: Give your product a name. For example, “Cool E-Book” or “Awesome Music Album”.
Description: Write a short description of your product. What is it? Why is it great?
Price: Set the price. How much do you want to charge for your product?
Step 5: Set Up the Downloadable File
Scroll down to find a section that says “Files” or “Downloadable Products.”
Click on “Add File” – this will let you upload the file you want to sell. It could be a PDF, MP3, video, or any other type of file.
Choose the file from your computer and upload it.
Step 6: Save Your Product
Check everything to make sure it’s correct.
Click on the “Save” button – it’s usually at the top or bottom of the page.
Step 7: Publish Your Product
Make sure your product is visible to customers. There should be a toggle or checkbox to make the product available in your store.
Publish your product. Now it’s live on your store, and people can buy and download it!
Extra Tips:
• Images: Add an image to your product to make it look attractive.
• Stock Control: Since it’s a downloadable product, you don’t need to worry about running out of stock.
• Test Your Product: Before telling everyone, buy the product yourself to make sure the download works perfectly.
That’s it! You’ve just set up a downloadable product on “The Advanced Shopping Cart.” If you need more help, you can always check the help section on your website or ask a grown-up for assistance. Happy selling!
